  • First,General Thomas Gage planning a surprise march to Concord.
  • THE REDCOATS ARE COMING!
  • Next,about 700 British troops quietly leaving Boston in the dark.
  • Then, the Americans hung two lamps from the Old North Church in Boston.
  • After that,Paul Revere started to shout: "THE BRITISH ARE COMING."
  • Soon on April 19th, 1775, the redcoats reached Lexington which was near Concord, but the Colonists outsmarted the British, so they began to leave.
  • Fighting soon broke out. The Colonists demanded  the British to leave. In the battle, the redcoats lost 73 soldiers, and another 200 British soldiers were hurt or missing.
