This is a Man VS Man conflict because Amelia, Betsy, and Lyddie are all arguing. They are arguing about signing the petition. This is also an external conflict because they are verbally debating.
This is a Man VS Nature conflict because when the bear barges into their home, their goods are destroyed. The bear is an animal which is part of the nature group. This is also an external conflict because Lyddie is going against a force outside her body.
This is a Man VS. Self conflict because Lyddie is fighting with herself. She is deciding whether or not to send a letter to Charlie. This is an internal conflict because Lyddie is contemplating with herself and not with someone or something.
