Medieval Law By: Myra Limon
Law is very strict in Rome Mr. Dude and you know that very well. I see no reason we should not execute you.
Mr. Judge, please. I swear I am guilty.!
Off with his head! take him away! execute him!
Like Mr. Judge said, Law in medieval time were very strict. In ancient Rome people had little to no rights. Mr. Dude was fighting for his son that was executed for trying to escape slavery. His wife had aslo tried to strike to get women to vote. In this battle he was excomunicated.
So next time you get into trouble for not doing your chores and think it is an unfair punishment to be grounded, consider how careful people in the middle ages had to be to avoid execution.
