Storyboard Text

  • When I was twelve, my mother went to work without telling me or my sister. My father had always insisted that she didn't have to, but she wouldn't take no for an answer
  • Mona and I were at piano practice when I notice the white umbrella that Eugenie Roberts had left behind.
  • Bravo!
  • It's so pretty!
  • My mother was extremely late to pick us up when practice ended. Miss Crosman had invited us inside, yet I refused.
  • No thank you. She'll be arriving soon.
  • You have to come inside! You'll get terribly sick staying out there!
  • Thank you! I'm going in, Maddy
  • Since I refused to come inside, Miss Crosman waited outside with me. That's when I notice the white umbrella she had in her hand.
  • That's a beautiful umbrella, Miss Crosman.
  • Oh, thank you! You can have it if you want. I can always get another one
  • After Miss Crosman gave me the umbrella, my mother had arrived. I stuffed the umbrella up my skirt and hopped in the car.
  • When my sister pointed out the umberlla, the truck behind us smashed into our bumper.
  • Maddy, what's under your skirt?
  • What?
  • Angered, I threw the umbrella down the nearest sewer.
  • Luckily, we made it out safely. Only the car was damaged.
  • This thing is bad luck!
