- Hey guys, it’s me Josh and today we are going to look at Mount Shasta, a potentially-active volcano located here in California.
- First let’s look at the weathering process, the process in which the elements slowly break down this massive mountain.
- Here what’s left of Mount Shasta's “Four Cones” is slowly being eroded by wind and rain.
- You can see that over time Mount Shasta has become slightly smaller because of the erosion.
- The rainwater carries the sediments down with it. Over time the water will carry away the entire mountain and the mountain will turn into a small hill.
- The pieces of the mountain will be deposited at the river that is at the bottom of the mountain.
