Hey guys, it’s me Josh and today we are going to look at Mount Shasta, a potentially-active volcano located here in California.
First let’s look at the weathering process, the process in which the elements slowly break down this massive mountain.
Here what’s left of Mount Shasta's “Four Cones” is slowly being eroded by wind and rain.
You can see that over time Mount Shasta has become slightly smaller because of the erosion.
The rainwater carries the sediments down with it. Over time the water will carry away the entire mountain and the mountain will turn into a small hill.
The pieces of the mountain will be deposited at the river that is at the bottom of the mountain.
