  • Today we are going to talk about integers! An integer is a whole number that can be positive or negative.

  • Integers can't be fractions or decimals because they are not equal to zero when dividing. They can be positive, like whole numbers but they can also be negative, which whole numbers can't.

  • He found out that the answer of 2 negative numbers added together is a positive number and that a positive and a negative number added together is a negative number.
  • Brahmagupta was the first person to find out about adding integers and formulas and what they would equal. Here are some things he learned.
  • You can find integers everywhere if you look closly enough. They are used all the time, everyday.
  • You can find them in temperature, when it starts to get really cold, it will be negative! You can also find it in money, when you spend money, that means you have a negitive amount, which alos means less money. If your mom gives you some change then that's a positive!
  • Negative numbers first started to be used in Indian and Chinese culture. Negative numbers were invented in the 7th Century AD and started to be used specifically for debt until it edvanced into modren culture!
