  • The myth of Rhomulus and Remus
  • Influence of Etruscan Engineering 
  • Anicent Rome is located in Italy which is what it is known as today. 
  • Influence of Etruscan Sporting Events 
  • Rhomulus and Remus both seeked to rule the land known as rome today together. The two brothers ended fighting over it and Rhomulus killed Remus thus the name Rome.
  • Influence of Greek Architecture
  • Two structures that the Romans adapted from the Etruscans were the cuniculus and the arch. They used arches to build bridges, stadiums, and aqueducts to carry water.  
  • Influence of Greek religion, writing, and art. 
  • Romans adopted the Etruscan custom of slave fighting into Gladiator fights.  Gladiators fought to other gladiators or wild animals.
  •  The Romans borrowed the Greek idea of using columns in their buildings. They used columns and concrete to structurize stadiums.  
  • The Romans used the same gods as the greeks but just named them differently.
