Shoot until you see the white of their eyes
The Americans were experts on their land. They knew many passages and hidden places to attack the British. They used the land to their advantage like using hills or the surroundings.
Unorganized And Untrained
Where are you going?
WE ARE GOING HOME!
The French aided the colonists when going to war against England. The French provided roughly85-90 percent of the Americans’ gunpowder in the wars’ first two years. The colonists first had to prove to them that they were capable of fighting the redcoats.
I should have stayed home to my farm.
The colonists had George Washington as a leader who was very experienced and skilled in warfare. As a British general during the French and Indian War, George knows how the British can attack and their tatics. He knows how to command an army and lead them to victory.
Low On Supplies
IS THAT EVERYTHING!!
It seemed each time the soldiersmade progress as a military unit, they would pick up their weapons and leave to tend their homes and farms. Every time the men did this the training would be cut short and unable to continue and would decease success.
General George Washington routinely had nomore than 20,000 troops at one time and place. In the contrary the British can buy more men and hire a lot of them with very little cost. The British hired 30,000 Hessians and had 50,000 redcoats they had a total of 80,000 men.
Supplies like food, weapons and ammunition was very hard to come by. In fact, Benjamin Franklin suggested that it would be wise to arm the soldiers with bows, arrows, hatchets, and knives. With little food, it made some men leave the army.
