Storyboard Text

  • Hey Kathine! Don't you think children under the age of five should not be using silverware that could be used as a weapon?
  • Well, in France childern are learning how to eat like adults, there is no such thing as kid oriented food, they are being prepared for the real world.
  • Schools in France are served a five course meal, frozen foods are easier and way faster to cook.
  • The lunch chefs go out every moring to buy their ingredients for the day, not only are they getting what they need their supporting local farmers.
  • Lunch in France is 1-2 hours long! Taking this much time will require to cut some classes, or extend the school day, this would be difficult for students in sports or that have an after school job.
  • If we they have more time to eat kids won't waste the food they didn't have time to eat.
  • I know higher taxes are not great but kids need healthy food. Adults and children mostly eat fast food which is high in fat and calories, and definitely not healthy.
  • Healthier lunches   would raise taxes; taxes are hard on families. Some families can't even provide food for their own family.
  • In France the lunch menu suggests what the children should eat for dinner. Some parents cannot  afford what that child should eat.
  • The French are just trying to  recommend  something to eat so the child doesn't get sick from the different   food clashes.
  • Lunch chefs have to worry about what they are going to make every morning so they don't repeat a food to many times.
  • Children in France are taught to enjoy different foods. They do not stick to one schedule and expect the same thing every day/week.
