Twin boys Romulus and Remus born to princess Rhea Silvia and the Roman god of war, Mars the king was worried he would get overthrown by the boys, since the parents knew they would die soon they sent them down the Tibet river.
The boys were found by a she-wolf. The wolf cared for them and protected them from dangerous animals. Then a kind woodpecker helped them find food. Eventually a shepard found them and raised the boys as his own
As the boys grew older they became natural leaders. One day Remus was captured and taken to the king. He discovered his true identity. Romulus gathered some shepherds to rescue his brother. They ended up killing the king. They were offered to have a joint rule but declined it
The twins both wanted to found a new city but couldn't agree on which hill to esablish it on. Romulus wanted the city to be on top of Palatine Hill while Remus preferred Aventine Hill. So, the waited for the gods to give them a sign, Remus saw the sign of six vultures first, but Romulus saw twelve. But they both thought they were right
Romulus started to build a wall around his hill but Remus was jealous and made fun of how short the wall was. Remus jumped over the wall to show how lame it was and since Romulus was so mad he KILLED REMUS
HA HA HA! SO SHORT EVEN I COULD JUMP OVER IT!!
Romulus continued to work on his city. He officially founded the city on April 21, 753 BC, making himself king, and naming it Rome after himself. He divided his army into legions of 3,300. The city would continue to grow. For over 1,000 years Rome would be one of the most powerful cities in the world.
