- Fine, I will lower your bail down to $10,000.
- Ok, that is better but I don't have much money right now so I guess I'm staying here.
- Wait! I just remembered about the 2nd Amendment that guarantees the right to bear arms, or own guns. In the state of Michigan, you are allowed to carry a gun in public. That could prove that I am innocent in the trial!
- Your trial is today! I hope you are excited because the 5th Amendment gives you the right to have a fair and legal trial, and the 6th Amendment gives you the right to have a speedy trial. Both of these rights will be very helpful to you when in court!
- Ok, thank you so much for the information about those Amendments.
- Yes, you are correct! I don't see any issue with what you did, so you are free to leave.
- Your Honor, I, the defendant, was wrongfully accused and it is legal for me to have a firearm in the public in Michigan. According to the 2nd Amendment, everybody has the right to bear arms, or own guns.
- I've learned all about my rights during this whole incident! If you want to know, I could tell you all about my experience in jail. I mean I do have the right to freedom of speech, which is in the 1st Amendment.
