  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • It was an ordinary day on Maple Street, full of neighbors and friends, until a few of them noticed a bright light flash across the sky. Some thought it must have been a meteor, but nobody heard a crash. They just heard a large roar.
  • Rising Action
  • Everybody was a bit scared and confused, especially since the power was failing as well. Lights weren't turning on, stoves stopped working, and phones seemed to be dead.
  • Climax
  • Steve got in his car to go to the town to see if he power was ok there, but to his surprise the car wouldn't start. By that time they all knew it wasn't just a power failure. Something had to be up. So he decided to walk there instead with charlie.Sally's son Tommy was trying to tell them that going into town was a bad idea. That, "They don't want you to." Everyone was confused by his statement.
  • Resolution
  • What Tommy was trying to explain was the fact that there are aliens there, and they were disguised as humans. All of a sudden people were giving weird looks, and backing away. They shouted things like, "It's not me! I'm not the alien!" But Goodman was getting the most, because he was the only one whos car started working.
  • But everything turned to silence when they saw a shadowy figure walking towards them on the street. Was that the monster? That's what they thought until Charlie became scared so he held up his gun and shot it. It fell, and they all ran towards it. When they got there they quickly realised who it was. Pete Van Horn. Charlie had killed him.
  • Lights in the windows were flashing, things turning on and off again. Nobody knew what to think. They were all going crazy! Why was this happening? If only they knew, there were aliens controlling the power. Watching them accuse each other and scream and yell and fight from above. The real monsters, were the people of Maple Street.
