The teacher is engaging the students in the lesson, asking them questions about their previous knowledge about fish
The students are working together in groups researching information on fish that live in their area.
The students must create a bibliography for two different fish. Including their common and scientific name, where and in what habitat they live, and two fun facts about them. Then draw the fish and its habitat on a note card.
Each group will put their note card drawing on the map showing the class where the fish can be found.
The groups are going to present their findings to the class.
As each group presents, the teacher is evaluating them to make sure they did found all the information required. She is also asking each student questions about their fish to make sure everyone did their part of the work.
