Storyboard Text

  • I'm falling, I'm going to die!
  • According to a creation myth from the group called Hurons, a woman fell from a sky, and two loons saved her from falling into just water. Because then there was just water and sky.
  • Yay!! Land!!
  • After the loons brought her down, all the animals dove down to the bottom of the ocean and got some mud. They brought it back up, and then started created land on the turtle. This was how earth was created.
  • After the Earth was created, she gave birth to twins, one of them came out of her side, and that caused her to die. One of the twins was evil, and one of them was good.
  • I am Tawis Karong
  • I am Tajus-Kaha
  • Once the twins grew up, the evil one created all sort of dangerous animals like spiders, snakes, dragons. And the good one created friendly animals like doves and bunnies
  • Then one day, in the good brother dreams, his mother's spirit came back to him. He decided that he and his brother could not share the world, so they would have a duel and see who would win.
  • They had the dual and then the good twin could only be killed if he was smashed by a bag of beans. The evil twin could only be killed by an animal horn of some sort. The good twin won, and the evil twin was dead. The Hurons believed that anyone who died went to the west.
