  • Let me tell you guys a story. Back in 1935 Social security started. Social Security was a act to give welfare to senior citizens. 
  • Welfare provided benefits  for  blind persons, dependent and crippled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and the administration of their unemployment.
  • This Act helped many people in the states that actually did what they were supposed to. 
  • In 1960 4.6 percent of people were on Social Security. 
  • Now 18 percent of people are on Social Security. Which means that 52 million people are on Social Security as of right now.
  • social security helped give money and food to people in need.
