Storyboard Text

  • It is about to rain. Last week it almost flooded. where did all the water go?
  • It went into the water cycle. I can teach you about that.
  • First is called precipitation. Rain, snow, sleet, and hail falls from the sky.
  • So if it is raining, it's precipitating.
  • As they were walking home, they saw a raindrop.
  • Water doesn't always evaporate. Instead, it flows and lands in an ocean, stream, or river. We call this Runoff, or collection.
  •  Then evaporation. Once the sun comes out, It creates some sort of energy to make water create vapor into the atmosphere, and creates clouds. You may be able to see the vapor in the distance.
  • Then we have transpiration. Transpiration is still like evaporation, but coming off from a plant.
  • Then..... condensation. All the rain has gone into the clouds. Once it gets heavy, all the rain falls again and it's a cycle!
  • Wow sis, you taught me a lot about the water cycle. Now I know what happens to the water.
