Storyboard Text

  • Meet John McSand the 3rd, he is a grain of sand. He thought his life would be simple for all of his life, but that was about to change.
  • This is John McSand the 3rd
  • Turns out, John McSand the 3rd was blown all the way to this tropical island. As more and more sand is blown to the island, John is eventually covered in other sand particles. Soon John becomes compacted under the ground, then John starts to stick onto the other sediments. Then, before he knew it, he was Sandstone, which is a sedimentary rock.
  • Here is John McSand the 3rd
  • John started to feel very hot and he felt like he was being pushed down, turns out, he was. With heat and pressure, John was turning into a metamorphic rock!
  • Looks like I'm a metamorphic rock now!?
  • Because of all of the heat, John was starting to turn into magma. There is even a volcano forming!
  • I'm so hot I'm turning into magma!
  • Uh Oh! Looks like the volcano is exploding! John's going to become an Igneous rock today when he cools.
  • Woah!
  • Later that day...
  • I feel so alive after that explosion!
  • John was eventually weathered back into sand and was blown (eroded) back to where he had started.
  • Ah man! I'm sand again! And I'm back here, looks like I'm starting all over again!
