  • The flag is still standing?!
  • Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light...
  • The British was attacking Fort McHenry so America blocked the water passage next to Baltimore so the British wouldn't get through
  • YEAH!
  • Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early lightWhat so proudly we hailed!...
  • A lawyer named Francis Scott Key went to sleep then woke up to see the big flag was still standing after the attack on Fort McHenry
  • Slavery needs to stop that the system of slavery is full of sins and a bed of torture
  • Francis Scott Key began to write the national anthem because he was so surprised that the fort and everything we safe
  • Then what he wrote soon became the national anthem for the United States of America called the Star-spangled banner
  • Francis Scott Key said that slavery was full of sins and and torture. So he helped establish the American Colonization Society, which he transports African Americans to Africa.
  • Francis Scott Key later died in 1843 do to pleurisy in Baltimore, Maryland. He left behind a famous song that we use today called the Star-Spangled Banner
