  • Bright and sunny day in a town. Children were collecting rocks and Mr. Summers and Old Man Warner begin to prepare for the lottery.

  • AS the lottery begins, people begin to form a crowd around the black box at the town square.

  • Mrs. Hutchison drew the black dot finally after most of the names of the villagers were being called.
  • Irony
  • Mrs Hutchinson stands alone as the other villagers of the town begin to pickup rocks.
  • Mrs. Hutchinson gets stoned
  • The irony in this story is that lotteries usually give you wealth or money when you win, however, when you win this lottery, you get stoned(death).
