  • The Realization
  • "I don't want to fight anybody."
  • "If you stay on the rez, they're going to kill you, I'm going to kill you. We're all going to kill you. You can't fight us forever."
  • The Moment of Confusion
  • He sounded insulted. He sounded like his poor little feelings had been hurt. I couldn't believe it. He acted like he was the one who'd been wronged.
  • "You punched me, I can't believe you punched me."
  • The Betrayal
  • "No, no, I don't think I'm better than anybody. I think I'm worse than everyone else."
  • "You always thought you better than me"
  • Mr. P told Junior to leave the rez because if he doesn't he be just like the rest of the people who gave up. It means that Junior realizes that he has to leave the rez in order to pursue his dream.If Junior does not solve this endeavor he will never achieve his dream.
  • Junior stood up to Roger but he didn't even fight back. This means that Juniors fight with Roger was transient. Junior finally stood up for himself and earned respect from Roger later on in the book.
  • Junior tells Rowdy hes going to Reardan and he punches him for leaving the rez.Junior has betrayed his friend and his kind by leaving.Rowdy feels that Junior is flippant towards his tribe.
