  • Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr were both tied for president in the 1800   president election.
  • 73

  • Vs

  • Burr
  • Vote Jefferson!
  • After comments made in a newspaper and at a dinner, Hamilton and Burr decided to duel. They both woke up at dawn and rowed to  New Jersey where the punishment for dueling is lighter.
  • Hamilton purposefully misfired, not thinking that Burr would actually fire. But Burr fired. 
  • Alexander Hamilton died the next day.
  • Here lies Alexander Hamilton
  • And  Burr's reputation was tarnished and he was known as Alexander Hamilton's murderer.
  • Murderer!
