After the F&I war the British had to think of a way do pay off all the war debt. After the British citizens started saying to the Parliament that they were the only ones paying taxes they decided to raise the taxes on the Colonists because they thought they should pay for what they started.
Battle of Lexington and Concord 1775
In 1765 the first act was passed.The stamp act was that the Colonists had to be taxed on every paper they printed.Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards were taxed.

The first battle of the revolutionary. The British set out to to capture Samuel Adams and John Hancock and to destroy the American stored goods and weapons. They defeated the Minutemen and just continued Marching towards Concord.
The battle of Saratoga was the turning point in the revolutionary. After Eighteen days of fighting the two battles the Britsh General defeated the American side.
On this day General George Washington ordered 17,000 french and continental troops against British General Charles Cornwallis's 9,000 British troops in the most important battle of the revolutionary. After three weeks of battle Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington and that ended the War that gained the Americans their independence.
