Storyboard Text

  • Yeah I'm okay.
  • Exposition
  • Are you ok Ponyboy?
  • Hahaha
  • Rising Action 1
  • We have to go now!
  • What have I done?
  • Rising Action 2
  • We can't get caught by the police or else we're going to jail
  • In the beginning, Ponyboy is walking home from the movies and gets jumped by the Socs. The greasers then come in time to save him. This is exposition because it's what happens in the beginning of the story.
  • Climax
  • We won! The Greasers won!
  • Next, Johnny kills a Soc which makes the conflict worse. This is part of the rising action because its the increase of tension.
  • Falling Action
  • Are you feeling better?
  • Then, Johnny and Ponyboy run away because they did not want to go to jail. This is rising action 2 because the tension gets worse with them running away and not being caught.
  • Resolution
  • When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home..
  • The climax is when the Socs and the Greasers fight to see which side is better. The climax is the turing point of the story.
  • Lets leave.
  • After the Greasers won the rumble Ponyboy recovers from his trauma. This is the falling action because it was after the rumble which was the most dramatic part of the story
  • Yeah I am feeling a bit better
  • In the end Ponyboy went to court and was not charged for his actions and ends up writing the outsiders for his English class. This is the resolution because it's the end of the story and the conflict is solved.
