Storyboard Text

  • Yeah, that was the plan, but since you're here, why don't we have a little bit of fun. Don't worry, I have condoms.
  • Joey, I thought you brought me to your house so that we could watch a movie...
  • You're right. I should've listened to you the first time, I don't want to lose you. I don't want you to do anything you don't want to do. I'll wait until you're ready.
  • That's not fair, that was in the past, that doesn't include now. If I say I'm not ready, then I'm not ready.  If you can't accept that then maybe we shouldn't be together.
  • I'm really glad we talked about this.
  • Yeah same. Now I know where your boundaries are. Next time I will make sure to ask you when you're ready.
  • Come on. I know you want to. It's not like you haven't had sex before.
  • I don't really want to do that. I'm not ready.
  • Of course. I care about you Kara and I would never want to make you feel uncomfortable. I meant what I said, I'll wait until you're ready. Now how about we go and watch that movie.
  • Thanks for understanding and listening to me. I really appreciate it.
  • Joey wanted to have sex with Kara, but she communicated how she felt that she was uncomfortable and not ready. Joey respected Kara's boundaries and told her that he would be patient and wait until she is ready. Joey also said that next time he would make sure to ask for consent.  In a healthy relationship there is communication, respect, patience, love and consent.
