The geography of Rome is very mountainous, and surrounded by water on three sides. The city is located on the peninsula of Italy, next to the Tiber river on seven hills.
Etruscan Influence on Sports
Romulus and Remus were sons of the kin´s daughter, who were raised by wolves after the king sent servants to drown the twins. Eventually, the king got word of the boys, and invited them to the castle. They saved their mother, and decided to build a new town. Romulus ends up killing Remus after a fight about what to name the town. The remaining son named it Rome.
Etruscan Influence on Architecture
The Romans followed the Etruscan way of making archways, and an underground water system called cuniculus.
The Etruscan's gave the ideas of gladiator fights and chariot races to the Romans for sports. The Romans built a huge coliseum, where all the sports events took place.
The Etruscan's also influenced the Romans to use columns in their buildings. You could see these all over the world, especially in the U.S.
The Greeks inspired the Romans to use Greek religion, writing, and art. The Romans used the same religious practices.
