Storyboard Text

  • We have an e-vite on Survey Monkey for Harry’s PTA next month. It has the goals of the meeting and the agenda too.
  • Oh great. Let’s check his grades on ThinkWave and see what his class is doing on Google Classroom.
  • Harry's Grades Evaluation Criteria  1. 2. 3.
  • That’s useful. We can see where he’s falling short.
  • Google Classroom
  • Look! We can see the evaluation criteria.
  • Parent Teacher Conference
  • We looked at everything you sent us and we were a bit surprised. He loves math...Perhaps if you could get him more engaged in class, it could improve his learning? Harry’s an active boy that likes physical activities.
  • Great suggestions. It’s always good to get an insight into a student’s personality and preferences.
  • Harry’s parents and the teacher share ideas and suggestions about what might help Harry’s performance.
  • Yes, we have looked at those. Thank you for keeping us apprised throughout the year.
  • Harry is a charismatic and energetic student, but sometimes he gets distracted in class and it affects his understanding of the material. You can see that in his testscores. I have all the relevant documents and data right here.
  • We can see how his work measures up against the evaluation criteria.
  • I’ve drawn up a timeline with goals and milestones specifically for Harry, set against the forthcoming activities, topics and assessments in the next semester. Also, here is a learning contract which sets out his goals for you, Harry and me to sign. That way all of us are in partnership to oversee Harry’s improvement in the specific criteria he’s falling short in. Harry also gets to take ownership of his attainment. He’s a smart boy with lots of potential and when he’s engaged, he does well.
  • We’d be happy to sign that and will make sure Harry stays on-task with his studies at home.
  • Well, that seems like a comprehensive plan. The goals are clear and the timeline makes sense.
  • We know, well done Harry! We just had a video conference with your teacher and she’s very pleased with you.
  • Your meeting the goals we all agreed on. We’re proud of you, son.
  • I got an A in Math today!
