Storyboard Text
Hey, do you know anything about Newton's Laws?
Yes! I learned about them in class! Let's go on a walk while I explain them to you.
Newton's first law states that an object in motion or rest will remain in motion or rest until acted on by an outside force.
So that means that ball would continue going up if it weren't for the force of gravity pulling it down.
2. So if that bowling ball had less mass, and the man pushed it with the same amount of force, it would go farther.
1. Yes! Newton's second law says that the changes in an objects motion depend on it's mass and the forces acting on it.
Newton's third law states that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction
Like riding a skateboard! When a person pushes backwards on the ground with their foot, the ground pushes the board forward.
Well it seems like you understand! I should probably get going now.
Yes I certainly did! Thank you for teaching me! See you later!
