  • I am Christian! It is okay, we have freedom of religion!
  • Freedom of speech
  • I think the house would be pretty if we painted it pink!

  • Well he has all the rights to voice his opinion!
  • Right to bear arms
  • It is okay, we are safe with my gun!

  • Freedom of religion means to practice whatever religion one chooses. This is included in the first amendment.
  • No Cruel or Unusual Punishment
  • Must be sentenced with death! 
  • Freedom of speech means everyone has the right to say what they believe without harming others. This is also included in the first amendment.
  • Due Process of Law
  • What does due process of law mean?
  • You cannot be deprived of your right to life, liberty, or property without due process.
  • Right to bear arms means people have the right to possess weapons for their own defense. This is the second amendment. 
  • States Rights
  • Congress has a lot of power, but what is not listed in the constitution belongs to you.
  • No cruel or unusual punishment indicates no torturing, deliberately degrading punishment, or punishment that is too severe for the crime committed. This is the eighth amendment.
  • Due process of law means fair treatment through the normal judicial system, especially as a citizen's entitlement. This is the fifth amendment.
  • The rights and powers held by individual US states rather than by the federal government. This is the tenth amendment.
