Do you know who Sybil Ludington was? Well, she was amazing-in fact, she is known as the female Paul Revere!-Here's the story.
Well, it all started out when redcoats attacked Dansbury(😠😡). Sybil's father, Henry Ludington, needed his local militia, but, he there was no one to round them up!
Thankfully, Sybil volunteered. Her father thought about it for a while, but finally said yes.
Sybil left at approximately in April, 1777, at 4 pm into the rainy night mounted on her horse, Star.
On the way, Sybil actually had to fire a musket to fight off 2 or 3 redcoats!😮 Anyhow, let's get back to topic.
In the end, Sybil rode 40 miles!! That's almost twice as much as Paul Revere rode! Huh, I guess that's why Sybil is known as the female Paul Revere. After all that 40 miles, Sybil succeeded, but unfortunately when her father's militia arrived, they were to late.
