  • The brain of a V5 robot allows for “on the fly” device connection and swapping. The brain has eight user downloaded programs and either one one can be selected to run device diagnostics and configuration for real time feedback. The V5 robot brain uses a Cortex A9 processor in tandem with a FPGA to create a device that is 15x faster than the predecessor
  • The V5 controller has a monochrome LCD screen that provides users with instant feedback from the brain. Data can be sent to the screen for debugging and driver information. The V5 controller includes a programmable haptic feedback that can be triggered as events happen. The Controller's integrated 3.7v Li-ion battery can provide up to 10 hours of life on a single charge.
  • The V5 Robot Battery Li-Ion 1100mAh is the next evolution of the VEX EDR NiMh Battery. This Lithium Iron Phosphate battery is equipped with circuitry and control to allow for higher sustained power and more reliable function. The battery has built in charge indicator lights and the charging time is approximately one hour. Battery run time depends on many factors including the robot design, the driving, and the number of motors used.
  • The V5 Smart Motor is more than twice as powerful as the 2-Wire motor 393 and puts an integrated encoder and a motor controller into one compact package. The motor runs at a slightly lower voltage than the battery's minimum voltage and the motor's power is accurately controlled and the motor will perform the same for every match and every autonomous run regardless of battery charge or motor temperature.
