VISUAL: We see a party, the camera tracks around the party in the shape of a circle, spiraling down from a high angle to eye level.SOUND: Diegetic sound of "I've heard that song before" playing with the chatter of a party in the background.ACTION: People interacting with one and other, drinking, dancing.
VISUAL: When the camera is done tracking in a spiraling circle it tracks in straight toward two people. As Jeffries starts to speak we track in to his face.SOUND: The diegetic sound of "I've heard that song before" playing and chatter of a party, becomes background.ACTION: Two people talking in front of a fire place: "Jefferies you do have to tell me how you were able to figure out that that ehh fella!". The dialogue between these two friends continues, and Jeffries starts telling a story. "I didn’t know their names. I’d never heard their voices. I didn’t even know them by sight, strictly speaking, for their faces were too small to fill in with identifiable features at that distance. Yet I could have constructed a timetable of their comings and goings, their daily habits and activities. They were the rear-window dwellers around me."
VISUAL: We match-cut and see Jeffries lying in bed. As he starts to get out of bed we cut on action to a medium shot.SOUND: Sudden silence. We hear Jeffries breathing, As he wakes up and gets out of bed we hear the crinkling of the sheets. We hear hoping. We hear the squeaking of a wheelchair.ACTION: Jeffries opens his eyes, and slowly gets out of bed, there is a blank expression on his face. He gets out of bed and slowly hops towards his wheelchair. He then wheels himself towards his rear window.
VISUAL: The camera follows Jeffries to the window, it's at eye level. We cut on action to the lens Jeffries picks up from his bookshelf. The camera tracks into the lens, now looking through the lens moves to Jeffries eyes and out the window. We now see Jeffries perspective through the lensSOUND: Diegetic sound of the lens being picked up.ACTION: Jeffries picks up a lens from his bookshelf, filled with dusty books. The lens is not dusty. Jeffries puts the lens up to his eyes.
VISUAL: The camera through the lens zooms in on a window and goes from one window to another.SOUND: Diegetic sound of the street (cars, construction work, birds, etc.)ACTION: A young couple running around getting ready to go out.
