The Witches are meeting together before Macbeth comes. The First witch is showing the other Witches a man's thumb, that belonged to pilot. Then they here the sounds of drums, knowing that Macbeth is coming,.

When Macbeth could not tell who or what they are for they look like women but they have beards. He asked them if they came speak and in reply they told him what he is and two things he will be.

After herring about Macbeths future he then asked them his future. The witches then tell in strange thins like how he will be lesser than Macbeth and Greater.

Macbeth and Banquo are relaying what the witches said they will be. If this could be possible or not sins the Thane Of Cawdor lives and so does the King.
And Thane of Cawdor too: went it not so?
You shall be King.
Ross now tells Macbeth that he is now the Thane Of Cawdor because the man who was is a traitor. Banquo and Macbeth are shocked that what the witches said he will be he is now, so does that mean he will soon be king to?
What, can the Devil speak true?
Macbeth is saying that he will do nuthing to try to become the king, if he becomes king than fine but he will not work to be king. Banquo realizes that Macbeth is not doing so well after he found out that he is now the Thane Of Cawdor.
