  • Moderation urges the exective branch branch to carry out laws almly within the boundaries of the law
  • Lastly, the duties of a Senator is to determine the guilt or innocence of impeached officials or approve/reject appointments by the governor.
  • Senators must be 25 years old, and Representatives must be 21. You also can't be in currently serving in the military.
  • In order to be Senator or Representative you need to have a US citizenship
  • Both senators and representatives take place in special sessions and committees
  • The duties of a Representative are to introduce bills designed to raise revenue, appropriate funds, or impeach
  • You need to have at least 2 years of a Georgia citizenship, and 1 year for their district
  • They both serve 2 year terms with no limit on consecutive terms
  • Both the speaker of the House and the lieutenant governor appoint committees that focus on different issues, and make recommendations about specific bills.

  • Gov.- enforcing laws, appointing people to state offices, signing bills into laws, suggesting new state programs and laws, and proposing and directing the state budget

  • Duties of Gov. and Lt. Gov
  • Lt. Gov.- president of the senate, decides committee memberships, and chooses committee chairs, responsible for any duties that the Gov. assigns to them
