  • This  means  war!
  • We have to stop them!
  • Oh No!
  • Until next time cowards!
  • We won! Retreat fool!
  • William Prescott led 1,200 American soldiers  across the Charles River from Boston  up Bunker Hill.
  • Never! This isn't over!
  • We won again fool! Give up now!
  • The British General, William Howe, saw the Patriots  and sent 2,400 redcoats to attack the Patriots
  • We  finally won! 
  • The first attempt to attack the patriots was unsuccessful so the British were forced to retreat.
  • A second British attack was also  unsuccessful. They were forced to retreat again
  • Finally, the British won the war.   but  they lost  1,000 soldiers at war while the Americans lost 400.
  • Don't forget! We won the other two! 
  • The British took Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. They paid a high price for their victory. It was clear at the end of the battle that the Americans could fight bravely and that the British would not be easy to defeat.
