The crew reaches a beach where men sent to the top the trees as lookouts, and mysteriously disappear, secretly eaten by cannibal giants. But Ulysses was sure something strange was here. The crew is forced to leave after a stampede of the giants chase them off.
10. The Wandering Rocks
Some crew members while adventuring a new island wander upon Circe's house where they eat and then turned into an animal, which for the crew members, was pigs. Approaching the door, all Ulysses saw around him, was animals. Ulysses comes in demanding his crew back with magical flowers and is successful.
12. Scylla and Charybdis
Ulysses and his crew got to Tartarus where the dead gives them advice for the road. Fear got to Ulysses. A dead shipmate tells them about Scylla and Charybdis, two monsters that they cannot avoid, and that they should risk six men to Scylla instead of destroying the ship in Charybdis's whirlpool.
13. The Cattle of the Sun
So they thought, the west wind would carry them home. But the ship is attacked by rocks just when they were in the homestretch of their journey. But these strange rocks didn't give up, but instead followed them and put the ship off course.
Two monsters, Scylla and Charybdis, appear on either side of a river, so the crew tries to sail in the middle to avoid both of them. A fight against water, Ulysses froze over the thought of Charybdis's whirlpool. Eventually, they drift towards Scylla, who eats six of their men
On Apollo's island, the crew finds, but cannot eat golden cattle. 30 days and nights had passed, and the crew was very tiresome. So they give up, eat the cattle and leave with it. As punishment, their ship is struck by lighting and Ulysses is separated and dragged into Charybdis's whirlpool.
