- The matter in gases are not even touching each other, so they move very freely. We breath in oxygen, that's a gas.
- Wow! That's so cool! Could you maybe also tell me the relationship between heat and energy?
- Ok! Heat is actually a kind of energy called thermal energy. Heat is energy that is being transferred from a hot substance to a cold one.
- Ooooo! Well could you tell me the relationship between cooling and energy?
- Sure! Lets use this pool as an example. If we wanted our pool water to turn to a solid we would freeze it. That means it's losing energy.
