Andi meets her squad and all the tough cadet leaders. Andi is surprised by how rigorous it is at West Point. Her squadron leader, Cadet Daily, tells her she should join the West Point track team. This is Andi during a running exercise.
Andi gets mad at her leader, Cadet Daily and he got really mad at Andi because she wasn't working as hard as she usually does. Cadet Daily realizes that something is going on with Andi and talks to her about it. Andi admits how tough her family is and how she wants to leave West Point but she doesn't want to go home. Cadet Daily convinces her to stay.
Andi and her platoon arrive at Lake Frederick where she will train for her last week at West Point. Here, her fellow cadet Hickman starts making fun of how she and her friend Gabrielle are girls and how he's amazed they've made it this far. Andi gets mad and starts refusing help from others because she wants to prove how tough she is.
