  • Orpheus is descending into the Underoworld, for his wife was taken by Pluto.
  • Pluto allowed them to leave, but on one condition. Should Orpheus look back at Eurydice before they reach the mortal land, she will be permanently returned to the Underworld.
  • Orpheus pleads with Pluto to release his wife, Eurydice, and allow them to return to the land of the living.
  • Orpheus was leading them out of the Underworld, channeling all of his willpower into looking forward.
  • Orpheus wished very much to turn around and see his wife.
  • They had almost made it out, but Orpheus' will broke and he turned around.
  • Eurydice was dragged back into the Underworld, never to return.
