- Waupee, the most skilled hunter of his tribe, is walking through the forest when he hears something.
- I'm gonna gonna go hunting! I love you!
- Ok.
- This is my chance!
- He sees the Celestial Sisters dancing and falls in love with the youngest one.
- He has to bring along a specimen of each kind of bird and animal he kills in the chase.
- Waupee tricks her and captures her as his wife.
- Waupee has a son with her. Meanwhile, she is planning to escape back to her home, with their son.
- The youngest sister finds her father, who decides to allow Waupee to live among the stars with the rest of them, on one condition...
- Waupee is successful in his task. Upon presenting his offerings to his father-in-law, he is given the choice of joining his wife and son as hawks and returning to the Earth. He chooses to become the Great Hawk.
