  • Act 1
  • "Nay, as they dare. I will bite my thumb at them, which is disgrace to them if they bear it."
  • "Do you bite your thumb at us sir?" 
  • Act 1
  • "Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
  • "For saints have hands that pilgrims´ hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers´ kiss."
  • Act 2
  • "What man art thou that thus bescreened in the night so stumblest on my counsel?"
  • "My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word."
  • Sampson and Gregory who are servants of the Capulet house are talking badly about the Montague house because the houses are in a feud. Then Abraham and Balthazar who are servants of the Montague house approach. Then Sampson bites his thumb at the Montague servants. This causes a fight to break out between them and more people get involved in the fight. Then Prince Escalus broke up the fight and threatened to kill anyone who continues to fight.
  • Act 2
  • "I pray thee chide me not. Her I love now doth grace for grace and love for love allow; the other did not so."
  • Act 3
  • Romeo is the son of Montague. He was in love with a girl named Rosaline but she didn’t feel the same way. Romeo and his friends Mercutio and Benvolio get invited to the Capulet party happening later that evening. Romeo’s friends repeatedly ask him to come and he finally says yes in hope of seeing Rosaline. At the party, he sees Juliet who is the daughter of Capulet. He instantly falls in love with her and they start dancing together.
  • " I do protest I never injured thee, but love thee better than thou canst devise till thou shalt know the reason of my love. And so, good Capulet, which name I tender as dearly as mine own, be satisfied."
  • "Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done me, therefore turn and draw."
  • Act 3
  • After the Capulet party and Romeo’s encounter with Juliet, Romeo started to watch Juliet from her balcony. Romeo was admiring her beauty and listened to Juliet talk to herself about him. She went on about how a person's name doesn’t define a person. Then Romeo made his presence known and then Romeo and Juliet declared their love for each other. Then they planned to have a secret marriage and Juliet said she would send someone to Romeo to get information about the marriage.
  • "Tybalt is gone, and Romeo banished. Romeo that killed him, he is banished."
  • Friar Lawrence is picking plants and herbs and gathering them in a basket. He starts to go on about how herbs are like humans because they both can be good or evil. Romeo approaches Friar Lawrence and starts to tell him about his new love, Juliet. Romeo then ask Friar Lawrence if he can marry Juliet and him in secret. Friar Lawrence then agrees to marry them because he thinks their marriage will end the feud between the Capulet family and the Montague family.
  • "In one respect I'll thy assistant be; for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancour to pure love."
  • Mercutio and Benvolio who are Montagues are on a street in Verona talking. Tybalt who is a Capulet approaches them and starts trouble. Romeo then approaches them. They begin to exchange insults back and forth and Tybalt gets sick of it and tells Mercutio to draw his sword. They are fighting back and forth and Romeo tries to break up the fight. He gets in the way of Mercutio and Mercutio ends up getting stabbed by Tybalt and dying. Romeo then fights Tybalt and kills him in Mercutio’s honor. Then Romeo is banished from Verona because he was fighting which was against the Prince’s orders.
  • Juliet's Nurse goes into Juliet’s room to deliver some news to her. She tells Juliet that Tybalt who is her cousin died at the hands of Romeo. Then she tells her that Romeo has been banished from Verona for fighting. At first, Juliet was disappointed by Romeo’s betrayal and thought his looks deceive her. Then she felt bad for Romeo and became heartbroken because if Romeo is banished who is supposedly her true love how can she be able to see him. She then becomes sad and begins to cry profusely over him.
  • "O God! Did Romeo's hand shed Tybalt's blood?"
