Ahh I see Rainsford, i have won today, but we shall see if i do tomorrow.
Why isn't he killing me?
Nielson and his crew are traveling to the amazon to hunt jaguars. Rainsford is sitting on the deck and reaches for his pipe, but when doing so he falls off of the boat and has to swim to the closest island(ship trap island). While swimming Rainsford hears screams that he has not heard before...
Oh god, oh god!!!
You can run but you can't hide!
Rainsford realizes that he isn't getting off the island anytime soon. After a little walking around Rainsford descoveres this place which looks to be a Chateau. He knocks on the door and meets Ivan who is general Zaroff's guard. Zaroff is an experienced hunter who has been living on the island.
Rainsford learns that Zaroff is bored and wants a challenge and that the challenge he wants was a hunt that could reason just like people. Rainsford didn't wanna commit murder with Zaroff so Rainsford is hunted instead. Rainsford sets up a series of traps to try and trick Zaroff. When those don't work, Rainsford realizes he has to work smarter instead of harder...
So......he jumps off a cliff making Zaroff think he was dead. Zaroff's servent Ivan is killed in the process which will be hard to replace and Zaroff didn't get the full satisfaction of the hunt since he wasn't the one to "kill" Rainsford. But little does he know...Rainsford isn't all that dead.
Rainsford surprises and shocks Zaroff by showing up later that night. Zaroff is astonished and continuously congradulates Rainsford that he has beat him at his game. For Rainsford though, he is still a beast at bay. Zaroff gets feed to the dogs.
Rainsford says that he has never sleps in a better bed...
