  • the Egyptians had a strict  rule about food, the higher classes had better and more food to eat a day. They usually ate things like carbs and fruit  in the morning and whatever they waned the rest of the day. The slaves [also known as peasants],  ate two meals a day, the first meal  had  carbohydrates, liquid or solid form  then for the second meal they had veggies and meats and once again carbohydrates.
  • writing
  • This man is a scribe, you can only become a scribe if someone in your family was a scribe or if you are rich.  Some people tried  breaking in but they usually got in trouble. Kids were sent to be a scribe at a very young age. They trained for twelve year all day long. A Scribe's job is to document everything.  They are the only ones who know how to read hieroglyphics . Hieroglyphics are symbols that represent letters, because they didn't have letters back then.
  • art and religion
  • There are different gods and goddesses,  for example one god is Thoth, he was the mediator between good and evil, inventor of writing and art. Another god is Ra, the god of the sun, he also had a head of a falcon. Now onto art the artistes in Egypt they made seven pieces of art at a time because they thought that the number seven was lucky. They used the softer stones, like limestone and sandstone and materials like that.
  • technology
  • Scribes made a lot of inventions, for example eye makeup.  They though that eye make up helped prevent eye infections which  helped people live longer.  The higher the class you were the higher quality make up you get. Another invention is ink, ink was used to write things down like hieroglyphics.
  • social structure
  • What place you were in the pyramid depended on what you did. For example, the pharaoh  were at the top. They were the ones in charge of everyone.  The people on the bottom were the slave, they had the least amount of power,  least amount of things and had no freedom.  The people in the middle were the priests and nobles , they had more freedom and power than the slaves but less than the  pharaoh.
