Storyboard Text

  • Keeper of the Lost Cities: Exile by: Shannon Messenger
  • Sophie came back from meeting Councilor Terik and getting a notebook back to find Keefe there and enlist his help in recovering some lost information
  • Keefe, dirty boys sit on the floor. Only clean girls sit on the bed.
  • Really Foster? Making me sit on the floor?
  • Keefe took the notebook and a pencil and started to shade in the margin. Sophie's original doubt disappeared as she saw the white marks Keefe  had traced.
  • If you  pressed hard enough as you wrote, we'll still see the impression in the next page. Trust me, this trick has come in handy many times
  • Keefe uncovered the words "A boy  who disappeared," and instantly starts teasing Sophie, however she pays him no attention as she quickly  projects an  image into her memory log, a previously lost memory.
  • I was five, Keefe!
  • Should've known it would have something to do  with a boy.
  • Keefe recognized the jersey the boy in the projected memory was wearing as the jersey  of a game from eight years before, which corresponded with when Sophie saw the boy.  And it was when she still lived with humans.
  • A what? Wait, it that the game you and Fitz were playing?
  • Is that a bramble jersey?
  • Both of them are confused by this because at the time, Sophie didn't even know elves existed outside of Santa stories. Her telepathy hadn't even manifested yet. But somehow, if her blurry memories were right, she'd somehow seen  a boy in a blue bramble jersey. A boy who disappeared.
