Storyboard Text

  • Hey! We're glad you guys were able to meet us!
  • Anytime, we needed the extra practice!
  • It's funny you ask. We just started yesterday, and the coach is TOUGH! "no exceptions" is his favorite line. (chuckles)
  • How has your training been going, I know it's extra tough down South!
  • Hahaha, Samantha always wants to get to business right away
  • Bet!
  • HAHA, Kimberly's right guys, we should get to our spots
  • I'll start here, guys, since I play second
  • This drill starts with three people-Shawn, the catcher, Sam, the girl on 2nd base, and Kim, the thirrd baseman.
  • Sam, Kim, and Shawn are playing a drill they learned in high school. Sam throws the ball to Shawn at a distance of 10 ft. Shawn throws the ball to Kim at a distance of 20ft. Kim throws the ball back to Sam at 35ft. What's the angle Shawn threw the ball to Kimberly?
  • To find out the angle Shawn threw the ball, they had to use the law of cosines and the equation c^2=a^2+b^2-2ac x cos(c). Setting it up, the equation looked like: 35^2=20^2+10^2-2(20)(35) x cos(c). . They solved the exponents, added,, divided, and figured out the anglethe ball was thrown at was 58.8°.
  • 10 ft
  • 20 ft
  • 35 ft
  • I'm glad I got to see you all today! Ever since 1st semester we haven't had the chance to hang out.
  • Yea, I had a blast today! I wish we could do this more often but are schedules are so busy!
  • It sucks to see everyone go. We have to stay in contact
  • Great seeing you guys, let's have a lunch next week
  • I miss you guys, I'll definitely keep in touch!
