  • The King told the Pilgrims that if they don't follow his religion, they would be put in jail. The Pilgrims didn't like that at all. They decided that leaving was the best idea.
  • The Pilgrims mapped out their route and set sail on the Mayflower for New York City.
  • The Pilgrims wanted to land in New York but actually ended up landing in Massachusetts instead.
  • The Pilgrims found the Wampanoag tribe and created a treaty that they would follow together.
  • Squanto gave the Pilgrims a very important crop, corn, and taught them some important life skills like how to fish and farm.
  • The Pilgrims were so thankful for the Natives and their generous assistance, so they held a 3-day feast. This feast was the start of the famous holiday today, Thanksgiving.
