  • We surrender. We give up.
  • We won! We are our own independent country now!
  • The Treaty of Paris is signed by the British!
  • I am not posing for the picture.
  • The Colonists land is now an Independent Country! Known as America
  • We are independent and I am the first president of the United States.
  • The Battle of Yorktown began on September 28, 1781 - October 19, 1781. This was the time where the British Surrendered to let The Colonists be an Independent country.
  • The Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783 at Paris, France. King George Signed the treaty to let the Colonists be independent.
  • America became it's own nation. George Washinton becomes president of the United States on April 30, 1789.
