Dred Scott was born a slave, he was sold to a man named Dr.John Emerson and his wife Eliza Irene Sanford.
When Dr. John Emerson died he left Scott, his wife, and kids to be slaves for his wife.
Scott went to thinking. They live in the territory were slavery was banned.
"I live were slavery is banned."
Dred Scott went to the Supreme court and sued the them because he lived were slaves were banned. When he spoke his mind Chief Justice Roger B. Tany said that Scott can't sue the court because he is not a citizen and that slaves are property.
In the end Dred Scott didn't get his freedom or his case, but he still made history in an amazing way.
