  • The battle of Mexico City was a very decisive victory in the Mexican war for the Americans. The Americans have already won most of the battles so far but this one would boost American morale and would lose hope in the war.

  • Once the war was over, the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was worked up and the territory that is now part of the US was bought from Mexico for 15 million dollars. Mexico has lost and the Americans are the victors of this war.
  • The Alamo was one of the main reasons for the Americans ethusaism for the war. Many brave American soldiers died in this event before the war.
  • The Final American troops left Mexico in August 2nd, 1848. The war is over.
  • During the war, many soldiers used "Remember the Alamo" as a war cry to remember those who gave up their lives for Texan Independance.
