Storyboard Text

  • Rome is located in Italy, which includes a peninsula and islands in southern Europe. The Italian peninsula is shaped a lot like a boot and reaches into the Mediterranean Sea with its toe pointed toward the island of Sicily.
  • Two boys, that were left to die as babies, get found in the woods and get raised by a wold. A farmer then finds them and raises them. When they are adults they fight over there city and Romulus killed Remus.
  • The Etruscans influenced Roman architecture by showing them arches along walls or as doorways. They also inspired them to build the Cuniculus, which is their under-water irrigation system.
  • The Romans adapted many Etruscan sports. The Etruscan custom was to stage slave fights during funerals. Two slaves of the dead master fought to the death with swords and small shields. Etruscan spectators also enjoyed watching chariot races.
  • The Romans saw the Greek's architecture ad their columns so they copied. Many of the Greeks column types can be found in their one and only coliseum.
  • The Greeks influenced art, religion, and writing upon the Romans. For example, they both have the same Gods and Goddesses just different names. Also they both write in capital letters.
