No, he will not be a religious leader he will become a king.
Everyone move the prince is coming through!
Hey you, the sick one! Move away!
Oh my goodness! This is so sad and terrible!
The Prince Siddhartha was born to a king and a queen. A fortune teller predicted that he would be a religous leader or a king. Siddhartha Father wanted him to also become a king just like he did.
Ok, I understand now, but I don't like this.
Siddhartha was raised in wealth and luxury with guards protecting him at all times. The guards had protected him from seeing sickness, sadness, death, and homelessness at all costs for him to become king. His father had done this so his son wouldn't see what other had to go though so he didn't know he could help them and become a religious leader.
I have achieved enlightment!
Siddhartha went outside without his guards and he saw a man leaning on a stick,a man who was shrunken by disease, a man who had died, and a wondering holy man who possesed nothing.
You must do as I say to achieve enlightment!
The prince searched for the truth about life, he had lived on a small amount of food each day. He started to study with the Gurus and learned about the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth which upset him. He also learned about salvation that did not interest him.
Siddhartha's strength had returned he sat and meditated under a fig tree later called the Bodhi Tree for 49 days. Mara tried to stop him from his search with wealth and other things but, Siddhartha ignored him and Mara attacked him with Rains and showers of rocks. After Many days he achieved enlightenment.
Siddhartha had freed himself from the cycle of rebirth and suffering and taught others about what he had learned. He had traveled across India for 45 years preaching the message of truth and hope. People had many questions for him which he answered "I am awake." The purpose of this was to awaken the world to the true nature of life.
